Trees of Hope for CHEO | November 28th โ€“ January 2nd

Kick-start the holiday season with this magical fundraiser event! Experience in-person or take a virtual tour of the beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the Fairmont Chรขteau Laurier halls then vote for your favourite. Proceeds towards the Trees of Hope event support the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

 

Magic of Lights | November 28th โ€“ January 7th

Alight at Night |ย  December 1st – January 7th

Stroll through a historic village filled with holiday joy including over one million lights, Christmas music, BeaverTails and more.

Just one hour south of Ottawa,ย you can step back in time to 1866 at Upper Canada Village, a living-history site. On select nights during the holiday season each year, the Alight at Night event brings Christmas magic to the village.

 

Les Grands Ballets Canadiens โ€“ Nutcracker | December 1-4th

National Art Centre | 1 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario

Come enjoy this family favourite during the holiday season! Les Grands Ballets Canadiens is descending upon the National Arts Centre to perform their much-loved, all-Canadian version of the timeless story of Nutcracker. Join Clara in her fairy-tale reverie โ€” along with her Prince, the Mouse King, Sugar Plum Fairy, majestic Mounties and Filbert the Bear โ€” for this delightful frolic through a winter wonderland.

Cumberland Heritage Museum | 2940 Old Montreal Road

Explore traditions from days gone by in an enchanted, drive-through setting with over 30,000 Christmas lights! See a portable printing press in action, and travel back in time with a festive soundtrack from the interwar years. This family-orientated event lets you continue the fun at home with a take-away cookie decorating kit, hands-on crafts, and a special telegram from Santa.

 

Osgoode’s Parade of Lights | December 2nd

Starting at Nixon & Main ending at Foodland Parking Lot | Osgoode

 

Manotick’s Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting | December 2nd

Santa Claus is coming to town for Manotickโ€™s Parade of Lights. The parade route will be the same as the Dickinson Days in June.Christmas tree lighting and carolling will follow the parade at 8 pm at Watsonโ€™s Mill.

 

Constance & Buckhams Bay Santa Claus Parade | December 3rd

NorthWind Wireless Center |ย  262 Len Purcell, Woodlawn

Donโ€™t miss the annual Constance & Buckhams Bay Santa Claus Parade. The Santa Claus Parade Theme for 2022 is โ€œIn the Spirit of Christmas.โ€ After the parade, come and Visit Santa at the NorthWind Wireless Center, 262 Len Purcell

 

Pakenham Santa Claus Parade | December 3rd

Stewart Community Centre | 112 MacFarlane Street

Donโ€™t miss Santaโ€™s favourite event with the Pakenham Santa Claus Parade! Pack a thermos of hot chocolate and head to downtown Pakenham at 1pm for an old-fashioned, festive parade.

 

Perth Santa Claus Parade | December 3rd

Sunset Blvd- Wilson St – Foster St- Gore St- Cockburn

The parade route begins at The Factory on Sunset Boulevard in Perth at 5 p.m. It turns right onto Wilson Street, left onto Foster, right onto Gore Street and turns right onto Cockburn Street before turning left onto Wilson Street where the parade ends at The Queen Elizabeth School.

 

Richmond Village Santa Claus Parade | December 3rdย 

Richmond Fairgrounds |ย  6121 Perth Street

The Richmond winter festivities have been an annual tradition for all the families in Richmond. Children and adults alike delight in the excitement of the upcoming season. The format will again be the drive thru type and held at the Richmond Fairgrounds. Floats will remain stationary as spectators will drive by in their vehicles.

 

Stanleyโ€™s Christmas Village | December 3rd- December 18th (Saturdays and Sundays)

Stanleyโ€™s Olde Maple Lane Farm | 2452 Yorks Corners Road, Edwards, Ontario

Bundle up and head over to Stanleyโ€™s Christmas Village for a winter wonderland experience. Snap a photo with Santa, grab some hot cocoa and jump on a sleigh ride through the winter forest. Play games, sing songs, and warm up around the bonfire before heading home with a freshly cut Christmas tree or goodies from the Farm Shop. Reservations required.

Stittsville Parade of Lights | December 3rd

Stittsville Main Street

A community favourite, drawing thousands of spectators along Stittsville Main Street parade route as dozens of beautifully decorated community floats set the tone for Santaโ€™s much anticipated arrival at the end of the parade. Merry makers are encouraged to stay for the lighting of Village Square Park, and to share in some hot chocolate, cookies, and a visit with Santa immediately following the parade.

 

Almonte Christmas Night Parade | December 4th

Almonte Old Town Hall | 14 Bridge Street

The Parade leaves the Almonte Community Centre at 5PM. Heads up Bridge St. Turns left onto Mill St. At the end of Mill St it turns right onto Almonte St. and heads to Martin St. At Martin the parade turns Right again and follows Bridge St. back to the Arena.

 

Christmas Lights Across Canada | December 8th-January 8th

Parliament Hill | Wellington street, Ottawa, Ontario

Before and during the holiday season each year, thousands of colourful lights illuminate buildings, parks and streetscapes in Ottawa. Each evening from early December to early January, the Christmas Lights Across Canada event presents hundreds of thousands of dazzling holiday lights throughout downtown Ottawa-Gatineau, as well as a free multimedia show on Parliament Hill.

The Pathway of lights in Canada’s Capital Region brightens Confederation Boulevard, Canadaโ€™s ceremonial route which encompasses Wellington Street, Mackenzie Street and Elgin Street in downtown Ottawa, Laurier Street in Gatineau, as well as connecting bridges. Historic sites and parks along the way are also decorated.

Stop at Parliament Hill to see the free multimedia projection show which features captivating digital imagery and sound. This winter-themed show is presented on a 15-minute loop.

Carp Santa Claus Parade | December 10th

13th annual CAS Christmas Parade with the Huntley Community Association. Entry to the parade is a donation of cash, gifts and food.ย The parade route: Staging at Diefenbunker, Right on Carp Rd, left on Donald B. Munro Dr, Left on Langstaff Dr, Left on Juanita Ave, Right on Carp Rd, Diefenbunker.
