NF: Hope Tour | September 2nd, 2023
Canadian Tire Centre | 1000 Palladium Drive

Today, Michigan rapper and producer NF announces his HOPE Tour. The massive 47 stop show runs across the U.S., Canada, Europe and the U.K. in support of his forthcoming studio album, HOPE, releasing April 7.

 

The Smashing Pumpkins: The World is a Vampire Tour | September 3rd, 2023
Canadian Tire Centre | 1000 Palladium Drive

The tour will feature special guests Interpol and Rival Sons as support on various dates. The World Is a Vampire Tour has already sold-out 30,000-plus capacity shows in Mexico City this year, as well in cities across Australia this spring.

 

The Sound and Light Show on Parliament Hill | July 7th – September 4th , 2023 (Thursday to Monday)

Five nights a week in the summer months, you can enjoy a free, 30-minute multimedia show presented against the backdrop of the iconic Parliament Buildings in Canada’s capital. The Sound and Light Show on Parliament Hill – Northern Lights, takes you on an unforgettable audiovisual journey through Canada’s history. Colourful visuals are projected on the Centre Block’s Peace Tower, accompanied by an original score and stirring narration in English and French. The show presents inspiring Canadian stories that showcase the foundations of our nation, innovation, exploration, valour, and the pride and vision of a people. This annual tradition is presented on evenings from Thursdays through Mondays (weather dependent); show start times vary by month due to sunset times.

 

Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival | August 31st- September 4th, 2023
Parc de la Baie Gatineau

Each year at the end of August, this massive event launches balloons of all shapes, sizes and colours over the Ottawa-Gatineau region, and offers concerts, fireworks, amusement rides and more. Watch giant balloons lift off from the festival grounds or take a ride in one and drift over the Ottawa-Gatineau region. After dark, some of the balloons are lit up during night flights! The festival also hosts live entertainment for kids and adults, including popular and emerging musical acts from Quebec, Canada and beyond. Other family-friendly fun on site includes a carnival amusement park, fireworks, buskers and more. The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival (Festival des montgolfièresde Gatineau, or FMG) is held in the large Parc de la Baie in Gatineau, Quebec (less than a 15-minute drive from downtown Ottawa).

Afrofestival Ottawa | September 8th – 9th, 2023

A free festival giving African-Canadian artists a chance to showcase their talents in music, comedy, fashion design, spoken word, drumming, dance, and photography.

 

Latin Sparks Festival | September 9th, 2023

CityFolk Festival | September 13th- 17th, 2023

This four-day September celebration of music, dance and community at Lansdowne Park and throughout the Glebe area features an eclectic mix of musical performances on multiple stages.
Every year, Ottawa’s CityFolk festival offers more than 30 shows on indoor and outdoor stages. These range far beyond folk to encompass rock, alternative, bluegrass, hip hop, country and other musical genres—past acts have included everyone from Van Morrison and David Byrne to Lorde, Vampire Weekend, Robert Plant and Bon Iver. Jim Jefferies: Give ‘Em What They Want Tour | September 23rd, 2023

This Sydney native is one of the most popular and respected comedians of his generation, entertaining audiences across the globe with his provocative, belief-challenging and thought-provoking comedy. Jim was honored as Stand-Up Comedian of the Year at the Just for Laughs Festival in summer 2019. At the end of 2019 he started his Oblivious tour in 2020 where he toured all around Europe and North America. Jim’s ninth stand-up special Intolerant came out on Netflix last year and he currently hosts his own podcast: I Don’t Know About That with Jim Jefferies.
