Our Lady Peace: 30th Anniversary Tour | March 7

March Break at the War Museum: Naval Gazing! | March 1 – 16

This March Break, dive right into the spectacular First World War camouflage style known as “Razzle Dazzle.” Drop in to the family activity centre in the Museum’s Lobby to create your own Razzle Dazzle ship!

Also in the Lobby, uncover the stories of the Wrens (Women’s Royal Naval Service), who served in Canada during the Second World War. At a time of peril in the North Atlantic, these women cracked codes and developed vital intelligence.

Lobby activities are free for everyone.

Ottawa Nostalgia & Collectible Show | March 16

More than 50 top dealers exhibit on over 100 tables packed with interesting, hard to find memorabilia. Dealers include Ed Locke, former appraiser from the Antique Roadshow, Ken Aubrey filmed with his store on Canadian Pickers, and Doug Stroud filmed on Pawnathon Canada.

Jelly Roll: The Beautifully Broken Great Northern Tour | March 21

Acclaimed Grammy-nominated and platinum-certified singer-songwriter Jelly Roll has announced his debut international headlining tour in Canada, The Beautifully Broken Great Northern Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 12-city tour stops in Ottawa with special guests Josh Ross, Savannah Dexter, and Brabo Gator. The tour celebrates his album Beautifully Broken, which debuted October 11 at #1 on the Billboard 200 All Genre Chart and #3 on the Billboard Canadian Album Chart. It also spent two weeks as the top Canadian country album.

The Island in the Middle of Everywhere | March 29 – 31

Canada Agriculture and Food Museum | 901 Prince of Wales Drive

The Island in the Middle of Everywhere exhibition invites you on a remarkable journey to Xwe’etay (pronounced hwe-e-tay), also known as Lasqueti Island, which is part of the Northern Gulf Islands in British Columbia.

The Xwe’etay/Lasqueti Archaeological Project (XLAP) brings together Coast Salish peoples and settler residents to honour the age-old Indigenous presence on Lasqueti Island. The island is the traditional home of Northern Coast Salish peoples.

Through a series of stunning photographs and a video, The Island in the Middle of Everywhere showcases the archaeological work in progress and the beauty of the island itself.

The exhibition was co-curated by the XLAP and the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum and reflects the museum’s ongoing commitment to its Indigenous Foodways research initiative.
