2026 Canadian National Skating Championships

Slush Puppie Centre | 500 Bd de la Cité | Gatineau
The pre-eminent all-Canadian sporting event will feature approximately 200 skaters in the men, women, pairs, ice dance, and synchronized skating disciplines, competing at the senior and junior levels. Athletes will vie for spots on the National Team and for a selection on the teams that will represent Canada at the 2026 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, the 2026 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships, the 2026 ISU World Figure Skating Championships, the 2026 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships, and the 2026 ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships.

Celebrate Japanese animation and geek culture at G-Anime in Gatineau! Since 2009, this fan-driven festival has been a must-attend event for anime lovers, gamers, and cosplay enthusiasts.

Dueling Pianos with Jeff Rogers & Mellow Dee | January 20

Manor Lounge | 292 Elgin Street | Ottawa

Enjoy an evening of Dueling Pianos featuring Jeff Rogers and Mellow Dee. Seating is allocated based on group size and availability, with larger tables shared between groups to create a lively, social atmosphere. Food and drinks are available throughout the event, complemented by Wine Wednesday specials including half-litre pours, select bottles at a reduced price, and mini charcuterie boards. Following the show, Happy Hour begins at 9:00 pm, with games, Darts Reimagined, and additional food and beverage service.

Rinse – Amrita Hepi with Mish Grigor │ Performing Lines | January 22 – 24

In Rinse, award-winning dancer and choreographer Amrita Hepi explores the romance of beginnings. Using playful satire, her irreverent monologue, co-written with Mish Grigor, recreates an origin myth on stage, recounting personal narratives in relation to dance, art, feminism, desire, love, popular culture, and colonial history. Within a minimalist set design in icy blue and white, Hepi’s dance acts as history keeper weaving fact and fiction, memoir and ethnography. Rinse is an audience favourite wherever it is performed!

Winter Market at Robert Plante Greenhouses │ January 24 – 25

Robert Plante Greenhouses | 4228 Navan Road | Ottawa

The Annual Robert Plante Winter Market is a two-day indoor event featuring 150+ local artisans, makers, and small businesses, all hosted inside lush tropical greenhouses for a warm and inviting escape from the winter chill. Visitors can shop handmade goods, décor, art, treats, and unique creations while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of this community-loved market. From an opaque sea, tangled beams emerge, as if giant hands had played Mikado with our world. Step into an unusual structure occupied by 11 little girls, teenagers and women, busy with… what? An all-consuming mystery! Fascinating gestural movement unfolds on the swaying stage: objects are fished out, repaired, the structure shakes, it crumbles, and everything starts anew. Their survival mechanism will draw these characters astonishingly close together and force them to transform. This show is performed in French.
