Skating in a Maze | December 17- March 5
Eco-Odyssée, 52 chemin Les Sources, LaPêche/Wakefield, Québec

Between 2km and 5km of icy trails on the water maze and up to 5km of skating trails through the forest, depending on weather conditions.

 

Outdoor Skating – Rideau Hall | January 7 – March 5
Rideau Hall, 1 Sussex Drive Ottawa, Ontario

Bring your skates and glide on this historic rink established in 1872. (Hockey is not permitted.)
Weather permitting. Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. (without reservations).

 

Salsa Dancing at the Mill Street Pub | January 9

Rideau Canal Skateway | January 14
Rideau Canal: starting at the National Arts Centre (downtown Ottawa) Ottawa

Go skating on the world’s largest skating rink which winds its way through downtown Ottawa! Each winter, from roughly January to late February or early March, Ontario’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site transforms into an epic urban skating rink.
When open (weather permitting), the Rideau Canal Skateway is free and accessible 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Anyone can explore any section of the 7.8 kilometres (4.8 miles) thanks to its universally accessible ramps and facilities. Non-skaters can walk or shuffle along the edges of the Skateway (away from skaters), or on the pathways above the canal. Visit the Skateway website for updated reports on ice conditions.

Photography Workshop | January 22

Tips on how to position light in a flattering manner. We will use different soft boxes. How to speak to clients and make them feel comfortable, confident and open minded. How to pose, yet get candid results. You will be able to watch me shoot and you will have an opportunity to try to shoot yourself. We will have time to critique and edit photos You will be added also in a Slack group and will be able continue asking questions for a week after the workshop.

Speaking about the tour, front man Matthew Ramsey said “At an Old Dominion show, I think we just want people to feel happy. They should feel like they got to forget about whatever is bothering them or whatever’s weighing them down in that point in time. Just come and hangout with us, and escape for a couple hours. Then hopefully they walk out feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.”

 

Carleton Cup | January 28

Known as the ultimate Canadian triathlon (skate / run / drink), this is an annual charity race held in Ottawa on the world’s largest skating rink: the Rideau Canal Skateway.
